On April 18, the UbiPharm Foundation made a donation of a new solar-powered water borehole in the village of Boulby (Aouré), Senegal, as part of its commitment to healthcare for all.
This initiative continues the Foundation’s efforts across the African continent and in the French overseas territories to improve access to clean drinking water, especially in the most vulnerable areas.
A Concrete commitment to serving local communities
This donation, which includes a solar pump with a capacity of 15m² per hour and a 100,000-liter water tower, was officially handed over during a ceremony attended by the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of UbiPharm Senegal, Mrs. Maymouna DIOP, along with local public health stakeholders. The goal is to strengthen access to clean water in a remote region of Senegal.
A commitment at the core of the UbiPharm Group’s DNA
This donation in Senegal reflects one of the Foundation’s core missions: to actively contribute to better healthcare for African populations. Through initiatives focused on health, education, and solidarity, the Foundation embodies the values of humanism, sharing, and proximity that have driven the UbiPharm Group since its inception.
“Our vision goes beyond the simple act of giving. It aims to sustainably support communities, provide concrete means to improve quality of life, and contribute, in our own way, to the national effort toward equitable development.”
— Maymouna DIOP, Chairwoman of UbiPharm Senegal
